Penelope is doing AWESOME. Her health is right back to where she was before she got pregnant. Her milk is drying up and she is missing her babies. They are at my Mother's house 1/2 mile away getting the BEST care and are gaining weight and looking fantastic. Every night when I come home from there, Penelope goes a little crazy sniffing me as she smells her babies on me. There was just NO WAY to keep them all together and not have them nurse. This was the only way to ensure that everybody heals and grows.
Peabody, the little boy will be staying with us. I just fell so much in love with him and he reminds me so much of Penelope. We also had a Forever Home visit yesterday. Looks like it's going to be "Bubbles/Dorothy" or "Little Miss Mugsey". Next visit will seal the deal I am sure. Next Forever Home visit will be for "Sophia", my tiny little angel. I would have loved to have kept her, but I do not want a female around with her Father and Brother. Plus, I need some time to recuperate from this experience before I even think about doing this again. This was a very scary experience this time and if it were not for my Mother stepping up to the plate and taking the puppies in to feed them and all the help, support and advice from my Friends, this would not have turned out so good.
