So, this photo was taken yesterday at day 50.  She is still doing remarkable well and is in great spirits.  She amazes me with her mothering skills towards Poobies, her now 6 month old puppy from the first litter.  He still wants to play with her and jump on her and she is right there by his side, rolling with the punches.  Mugsey is still the BEST Husband in the world, always kissing her and cleaning her and if he is not laying RIGHT next to her, he is always nearby.

We had our X-ray yesterday to see how many we should be expecting.  The X-ray came out unclear and counting the puppies is impossible.  I like to know how many we are expecting so that if after the last puppy is born, if Penelope seems to still be laboring, then it is pretty clear there is an issue and we need to go to the hospital.  Mama seems to be in amazing health and despite the heat, and a bunch of babies inside, she is still my little snuggler.  The few heads I can see are a good bit smaller than the last litter of Monster Puppies!  =)

The past few days I had looked at Penelope and thought to myself, "Maybe she is not pregnant" because she was not showing and did not look the same as the last litter at 30 days.  Then yesterday, she jumped up on the bed, flopped on her back for me to kiss her belly and WOW, it looked like she was about to give birth!  She looks a little bigger and more solid that the last litter, and in that litter there were 4 little boys...  (Fingers Crossed)  for a female or two!  Now it's scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, a little bit of lean beef, some chicken breast and Belly Kisses!

Packed up the Babies and headed South!  1st stop, Philadelphia where the Babies got to stroll on South Street and meet Sherry from PARKING WARS! Garfield was off that day.  She is very cool and humble!  While in Philly, the babies got to meet their BIG cousin Chop Suey - an almost all white English Bull Dog. On our way out of Philly, we had to stop at Geno's on 9th Street for a cheese steak! From there they went to stay with Uncle Angelo in Havre de Grace, MD and get SPOILED with a nice big back yard.  Last 2 days were spent in Hampden, MD ("Is in da City Hon!")  They strolled on the Avenue (36th St) and hung out with Mishka, a 75lb Shar Pei.  Mugsey and him hit it off but Penelope was too busy protecting everybody. 6 hour drive home and now everybody is back to normal.

This picture or Leo was sent to me today by his Forever Mommy - Monique.  It made me entire day, and I thought I would share it.  He is SUCH a ham!

Penelope is getting VERY needy, loving and pathetic.  At this point there are newly formed embryos implanted in the wall of the uterus. During the next two weeks the important organs will develop.  That means babies...  =)  That is IF she is pregnant!

Mama seems to be grabbing lots of naps here and there.  Eatting healthy and getting lots of rest...  =)

Well, we are done with the heat, and now we will see if we are pregnant...  It's been one week, way to early to tell, but if Penelope starts her "Quick Rub My Belly" routine, then I will bet she is.  If she makes ANY sort of eye contact with you, she flops on her back and shows her belly and BEGS you with her eyes to rub it.  Who can resist?  Not me... 

Watching their EVERY move, constantly looking to see where everbody is at all times, isn't as easy as I thought it would be.  It got real quiet in the house, then out from around the sofa came Penelope, crouching down with that "Am I in Trouble" look and attached to her was Mugsey.  Ugh...  Marking the calendar...
